About us Dissemination and Information Department started its activities in 1994. The objective of the department is to disseminate the Mission of the Movement, its Fundamental Principles, promote use and protection of RC Emblem, principles of International Humanitarian Law, ARCS activities and human values among the population using all means of spreading information. Dissemination and Information Department organizes round tables in RA regions Branches in which representatives from local authorities, NGOs, hospitals, policlinic, pharmacies and Police participated. The goal of the meetings is to spread information on misuse of RC emblem as well as presentation of RA law on Use and Protection of RC/RC emblem. Today in many regions of RA there are rare organizations using RC emblem as own symbol. One of the objectives of Dissemination Service of the National Society is to spread basic knowledge on International Humanitarian Law. For that purpose, 20 ARCS dissemination officers from regional and territorial branches provide basic IHL courses for schoolchildren. During the year, in close co-operation with the Ministry of Education and Science, annual composition contests are organized on humanitarian themes among schoolchildren of the 9th grade of RA schools. Prodrammes/projects 2010 Starting from 2005 the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) and the Armenian Association of International Law (AAIL) organize Moot Court Competition on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) named after Aghasi Yesayan. In 2009 the Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS) also joined this initiative. The sixth Moot Court competition took place in Tsakhadzor on 16-19 March, 2010, in which seven teams from Yerevan - Yerevan State University, American University of Armenia, Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, Police Academy, Eurasia International University, European Regional Academy, International Scientific-Educational Center of NAS RA and one team from Artsakh State University participated. As a result of the competition the winner was recognized the team of Yerevan State University, and the team member of Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University Hayk Malkhasyan was awarded as the best speaker.
