In the aftermath of the Karabakh conflict as much as 4533 people are still missing, and for 407 of them tracing requests were opened in Armenia. ICRC delegation conducted a variety of assessments and concluded that even 17 years later, families of missing persons have economic, legal, psychological and social needs.

In 2008-2009 ARCS and ICRC has successfully completed joint project "Missing persons' Ante-mortem data collection". In 2012 the program is continuing. The aim of program is the collecting of detailed dates about missing persons, which will be use during the process to assist with future identifications.
