4 new Community volunteer response teams were established

April 2016, Lori Marz, Odzun, Sarchapet and Mets Parni communities were included in "Building Safe and Resilient Communities" project, where they established community volunteer response teams consisting of 20 people.

On 16-27 May, for new 4 community volunteer response teams were conducted trainings. Hrach Antonyan, Head of Lori Region Rescue Servise and Edmon Azaryan, Head of Disaster Management and Population Movement Department and project manager were also present at the courses and delivered speeches..

- This trainings are very important and urgent for the region as for emergency response and as well as for the disaster risk reduction process, said H. Antonyan.

The topics during the trainings were “Disaster Risk Management basics”, “Rescue basics”, “First Aid”, “Psycho-Social support”, “RC/RC Movement”, “Communication emergencies”, “Emergency need assessment”, “Climate change and Lively hood protection” and etc.
