The Armenian Red Cross Society, with the cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, in July organized a three-day training course on "Rescue and Rope Techniques" for 62 volunteers of the Disaster Response Teams of Yerevan, Tavush, Syunik, Vayots Dzor and Gegharkunik regional branches of the ARCS with the help of Stepanavan Tb specialists.
The training aimed at developing the capacities and skills of the Disaster Response Teams of the ARCS: conduct search and rescue, provide proper assistance to the victims trapped under the rubbles and in a car as a result of an accident, provide psycho-social support, develop their skills in teamwork and coordination, as well as safely use rescue equipment.
